Grinder – Typically a slow speed (~1750 rpm) grinder with a 8″ wheel is recommended for sharpening woodturning tools.
Jig – A jig such as the Oneway veri-grind can be purchased or made to add a ‘fingernail grind’, ‘irish grind’, or ‘Elsworth Grind’ to your gouges.
Platform – Tools such as scrapers and skews can be sharpened using a flat steady platform.
Adjustable slider – A slider such as the wolverine can be made to hold a variety of tools at an adjustable distance from the wheels. This includes the grinding jigs, platforms, and other accessories.
